The Estadio Azteca will make history as the first stadium to have hosted three different editions of the World Cup, becoming one of the absolute symbols of the tournament.

48 national teams will take part in the 2026 World Cup. Canada, Mexico, and the United States are automatically qualified as host countries. The other selections will come from the qualification groups of the various confederations: Europe, South America, North and Central America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The increase in the number of places will allow the participation of more emerging teams, making the tournament even more open, unpredictable, and full of stories to follow.
