Champions League 2026/27, which teams have qualified and when does the competition begin

The 2026/27 Champions League will officially begin with the preliminary rounds on 7-8 July 2026.

The draw for the league phase is scheduled for 27 August 2026, while the league phase itself, namely the one featuring the 36 qualified teams, will begin on 8-10 September 2026.

The Champions League final for the 2026/27 season will be held on 5 June 2027 in Madrid.

Which teams have qualified for the 2026/27 Champions League

The Italian teams that have qualified are Inter, Napoli, Roma and Como, with Milan and Juventus finishing in 5th and 6th place respectively.

The teams qualified from England are Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool. From Spain, meanwhile, the qualified teams are Barcelona, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Betis. Both England and Spain have obtained the fifth extra UEFA place.

The German teams that have qualified are Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Stuttgart.

From France, PSG, Lens and Lille have qualified for the Champions League.

From the Netherlands, we have PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.

The Portuguese teams in the Champions League will be Porto and Sporting.

We then have Club Brugge from Belgium, Slavia Prague from the Czech Republic, Galatasaray from Turkey and Shakhtar Donetsk from Ukraine.

These are the 29 teams qualified for the league phase; the other 7 will come from the August playoffs.
