The 2026 World Cup (USA–Canada–Mexico) will be played in an expanded format: 48 teams split into 12 groups of 4. Advancing to the knockout stage will be the top 2 teams from each group plus the 8 best third-placed teams (then it moves on to the Round of 32).
As of the time this article is being written, the groups are almost complete, with 6 spots still to be assigned through playoffs and play-offs.
The groups for the USA 2026 World Cup are as follows:

Group C: Brazil, Morocco, Haiti, Scotland
Group D: United States, Paraguay, Australia, To be decided
Group E: Germany, Curaçao, Côte d’Ivoire, Ecuador
Group F: Netherlands, Japan, Tunisia, To be decided
Group G: Belgium, Egypt, Iran, New Zealand
Group H: Spain, Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay
Group I: France, Senegal, Norway, To be decided
Group J: Argentina, Algeria, Austria, Jordan
Group K: Portugal, Uzbekistan, Colombia, To be decided
Group L: England, Croatia, Ghana, Panama
The group stage will officially begin on June 11 and will end on the 27th of the same month.
- The Round of 32 will start on June 28 and finish on July 4, 2026.
- The Round of 16 will take place from July 4 to July 7.
- The quarter-finals will be held from July 9 to July 12.
- The semi-finals will be played on July 14 and 15.
- The final, lastly, will be held on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium, also known as MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey.
